NOTICE TO BIDDERS The Board of Darke County Commissioners will receive sealed bids for demolition of eleven (11) vacant and blighted strucures located throughout Darke County. Bids will be received at the offices of the Board of Darke County Commissioners located at 520 South Broadway Street, Greenville, OH 45331, until 1:00 p.m. (local time), Tuesday, May 14, 2024 . Bids will be opened at 1:30 (local time) and publicly read aloud. Bids received after 1:00 p.m. (local time) will be returned unopened. Bids shall be marked, "Darke County Demolition & Site Revitalization Program - Project #8" and include the Bidder's name and address. Bids will be received on a per property basis as outlined in the bid documents and awarded as one contract to the lowest and best bidder on all properties. The project consists of the demolition of eleven (11) structures to be completed in the order defined in the Bidding Documents which will follow asbestos remediation being completed through a separate contract. Demolition shall be completed no later than June 30, 2024 to meet funding guidelines. It is anticipated that a Bid Award will be issued on Thursday, May 16, 2024. Bids must be signed and submitted on the bidding forms included in the Bidding Documents and shall be accompanied by either a Bid Guaranty Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid amount or by a certified check in the amount of not less than 10% of the amount of the Bid, subject to conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security, furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid. All contractors and sub-contractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. State of Ohio Prevailing Wages also apply to this Contract. BIDS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FROM BIDDERS LISTED ON THE OFFICIAL LIST OF PLAN HOLDERS. The Darke County Commissioners reserve the right to reject each and every bid and to waive informalities, irregularities and errors in the bidding to the extent permitted by law.
